At the IIFA event, Aishwarya spoke to the media and shared her respect for the director. “He’s my guru. From the beginning, I’ve been grateful to work with Mani Ratnam. It’s an honor to have played Nandini in Ponniyin Selvan and to share this success with our team,” she said.
The IIFA Utsavam became a spectacular event with Ponniyin Selvan: II emerging as a big winner. Vikram bagged the Best Actor (Tamil) award for his outstanding performance, while Aishwarya won Best Actress (Tamil) for her remarkable portrayal of Nandini.
